U.S. News & World Report published the 2026 Best Middle Schools rankings, and the news is great for Dequeen School District: De Queen Middle School earned a Best Middle Schools award because they placed among the top 40% in the state.

Lieutenant Michael Barnes from the De Queen Police Department engaged with De Queen Middle School students this week, discussing important topics like cyber safety, the risks of vaping, and the impact of social media bullying. Awareness is key to a safer future.
Teachers and students at De Queen Middle School proudly showed their school spirit today by participating in Pink Out Day, wearing pink to raise awareness and show support for breast cancer awareness.
We want to extend a huge shout out to our amazing custodians! Your hard work keeps our school clean and safe every day. Thank you for all you do!

De Queen Public Schools will host a flu clinic for students and staff on October 8, 2025. If you wish to participate, please fill out the form that was sent home with students and return it as soon as possible. Extra forms are available in the school office. The deadline to submit forms is September 30th. #LeopardFamily
