For students, teachers, and staff, it's always a great day to be a Leopard!!! #leopardpride #LeopardFamily
Due to hazardous road conditions, De Queen Public Schools will be delaying the start of school to 10 AM. Bus routes in the county will be starting between 8 and 8:30. Bus routes in the city will be starting between 8:45 and 9.
DMS Appreciates Our School Board!
De Queen Public Schools will return to school on Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
We know it will be extremely cold in the morning, and buses may run a little late. Our bus drivers will take their time at each stop so that children can be kept indoors to stay warm. Please be safe in the morning and we will see you all at school.

Students at De Queen Middle School collected over 1900 items for their Hygiene Drive! DMS Student Council members and Brother Toney Stowers of De Queen Church of Christ food pantry pose with some of the items students collected this past week. Congratulations to the 6th grade class on winning the competition and earning extra time at lunch. DMS would like to say “Thank You” to all the students and parents who participated and made the hygiene drive so successful! It's always a good day to be a leopard!
Upcoming Events at DMS!
Students at De Queen Middle School are participating in a Hygiene Drive for one of our local charities. Community members who regularly visit the local food pantry are not only in need of food items but from time to time are also in need of personal hygiene items for their family members. The purpose of the drive is to be able to help the local charity stock their shelves with the needed items so that they can help local members when the need arises. The 6th and 7th-grade students are competing against each other to earn extra time during their lunch break. The students will continue to collect items until Thursday, November 16th.
Items that are needed are...
toothpaste & toothbrushes
shampoo & conditioner
bars of soap
body lotion
hairbrushes & combs
stick deodorant
shave gel/cream & disposable razors (please keep in sealed package)
laundry soap
diapers
Baby shampoo & lotion
De Queen Public Schools will be accepting referrals for the Gifted and Talented program until Friday, Nov. 17th, 2023. Students in 3rd-12th grade may be referred.
